I wish I could come to the reunion. It's too bad I can't make it. My family is arriving here in Maryland to visit me and it would be next to impossible to gather everyone to travel to Houston. I had such a great time at Westchester playing music and rocking and rolling. I can't say I ended up with a high academic foundation, but those were the days before computers, academic standards were really a reality.
Please enjoy yourselves everyone! I am still studying, still drumming (studying jazz and Afro-Cuban rhythms, and teaching ESL once in a while at Frederick Community College.)
My son Soren is obsessed with playing basketball.

With a friend and I, we tried to break into the band director's office to retrieve a drum for solo and ensemble contest and the ceiling collapsed. I ended up in Figari's office with my dad. My dad convinced him to suspend me for only 1 day instead of a week. I was so scared. The band director at the time was Jerry Tate. He just laughed at me. |
